- Summers a time to plant,seed and sow;
all of the veggies and fruit that we grow;
If only the insects,
like "skeeters & fleas",
would go someplace other,
than "my" arms,thighs and "knees"!!
I know that they LOVE me,
my blood,sweat and tears,
But please stay away,
from my "poor tender ears"!!
They "buzz" me all day,
and then comes the night;
You'd think it would "end" now,
but "no",they still "bite"!!!!

- Summertime is great "fun",you know;
"Fun " in watching,the little plants grow;
"Fun" to see ,the little birds' quests;
to find the right trees,in which they can "nest";
"Fun" to start hoeing,your new garden bed;
"Fun" to smell all the "Roses", so red;
All of these things ,are so "fun" to do,
except its no "fun",
when they make me "achoo"!!!

- Summer is gardens, of "maters" and such;
Summer is flowers, that we love so much;
Summer is wading, in nice warm,wet pools;
Summer is getting , vacation from school;
Summer is "insects"; "biting" my body;
Why don't their mommies, tell them ,"thats naughty"!!?
